How to Connect Power to a KTC Monitor

KTC displays may receive power through an external adapter, a direct power cable, or a USB-C or product-specific power path. Choose the power type that best fits your product to get started. If these steps do not fit your screen, use the model links below for exact instructions.

Common power connection types

External power adapter

Many monitors use a separate adapter between the wall outlet and the monitor.

Try this:

  1. Connect the adapter to the monitor.
  2. Connect the power cable to the adapter.
  3. Plug the cable into a wall outlet.
  4. Check that the adapter and monitor connection both feel secure.

If the adapter has an indicator light, check whether it turns on.

Direct power cable

Some models use a power cable that connects straight to the monitor.

Try this:

  1. Insert the power cable firmly into the monitor.
  2. Plug the other end into a wall outlet.
  3. Turn on the monitor.
  4. Check the power light or startup response.

A direct wall outlet is better for the first test than a crowded power strip.

USB-C or product-specific power path

Portable displays and some smart products may rely on a specific USB-C port or power source.

Try this:

  1. Check which port is the power-in port.
  2. Use the charger or power source the product expects.
  3. Connect the cable fully and wait a moment.
  4. Turn the screen on if it does not start automatically.

Not every USB-C port supports the same power behavior, so using the correct port matters.

If the steps above do not match your screen

Before going to the model list, try these quick checks:

  • test the monitor directly from a wall outlet
  • reseat both ends of the power cable or adapter
  • check for a loose plug, heat, or visible damage
  • confirm that you are using the correct charger or adapter type
