How to Connect DisplayPort to a KTC Monitor

Using DisplayPort on a KTC monitor may depend on the cable connection, the selected DP input, and the signal path. Check the sections that match your setup. If these steps do not fit your screen, use the model links below for exact instructions.

What to check

Check the DisplayPort cable connection

The simplest setup is one direct DP cable between the source device and the monitor.

Check this:

  1. Turn off the source device if needed.
  2. Connect the DisplayPort cable firmly at both ends.
  3. Turn the monitor and source device back on.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the signal to appear.

A loose DP connection can still fit physically while failing to carry a stable signal.

Check the selected DP input

Some monitors need the input source to be changed manually after the cable is connected.

Check this:

  1. Open the monitor menu or input shortcut.
  2. Choose DP or DisplayPort.
  3. Confirm the selection.
  4. Wait for the picture to appear.

If another cable is also connected, the monitor may stay on the wrong input until you switch it.

Check the simplified signal path

If the signal is unstable, reduce the setup to one direct cable only.

Check this:

  1. Disconnect docks, adapters, KVM devices, or splitters.
  2. Leave only one DP cable connected.
  3. Reconnect the cable at both ends.
  4. Test again before adding any extra devices back.

This is the fastest way to tell whether the issue is the monitor path or an accessory in between.

If the steps above do not match your screen

Before going to the model list, try these quick checks:

  • confirm that the cable is really DisplayPort and not another connector type
  • check whether the source device's DP output is active
  • try another DP cable if the screen flickers or stays black
  • compare the result on another monitor or another source if available
