Firmware updates may cause color parameter deviation, display abnormalities, update failure, or an unbootable device if the update is interrupted or performed incorrectly. Manual firmware updates should only be performed when instructed by KTC Support or authorized service personnel. Any unauthorized or self-performed update, including resulting device failure, warranty invalidation, or functional abnormality, is undertaken at the user's own risk.

1 Check version description Open and read the "Version Description" file first. Confirm the firmware is compatible with the monitor model and current firmware version.
2 No power interruption Do not power off, unplug the power cable, or cut off power during firmware upgrade, backlight update, or system reboot.
3 Do not modify factory parameters Factory and underlying system parameters are calibrated official settings. Unauthorized changes may cause color distortion or functional failure.
4 Use a qualified USB flash drive Use a blank 8GB-32GB USB flash drive in FAT32 format. Avoid expanded drives, damaged drives, or old unstable USB drives.
5 Clean USB storage Remove all irrelevant files. Keep only the firmware file to prevent recognition errors or process stalling caused by file interference.

3. General Firmware Update Procedure

Note: During the entire update process, do not power off the monitor, remove the USB flash drive, disconnect cables, or press any monitor keys unless instructed by the guide.
Step Operation Instructions
1 Firmware File Preparation Extract the downloaded firmware package to obtain the .bin firmware file. Rename it to the designated official name. The universal default name is MERGE; refer to the corresponding version description for special requirements. Use English letters/numbers only; do not include Chinese characters, special symbols, or extra spaces. Place the renamed firmware file in the root directory of the USB flash drive.
2 Connect the USB Flash Drive Locate the dedicated USB port on the monitor, usually on the side or rear panel. This service/debugging port may be different from ordinary data USB ports. Insert the prepared USB flash drive firmly to ensure stable contact.
3 Launch Update via OSD Menu Press the physical keys on the monitor to open the OSD menu. Navigate to System Settings > USB Upgrade / Firmware Upgrade, then confirm to start firmware recognition and update.
4 Main Firmware Update Execution After the firmware file is recognized, the screen will display an "Upgrading" prompt. The main upgrade process usually takes 3-5 minutes. Static screens or slight flickering are normal. Do not operate the monitor.
5 Backlight & Secondary System Update After the main firmware update is completed, the monitor may black out and automatically start the backlight software and underlying adaptation program update. A blinking indicator light means the secondary update is in progress.
6 Finalize the Update When the indicator light stops blinking and the monitor returns to standby or the initial state, all update processes are completed. Remove the USB flash drive, unplug and reconnect the power cable, then restart the monitor.
IMPORTANT
The secondary update may include backlight software and underlying adaptation programs. A black screen or blinking indicator light can be normal. Wait until the indicator light stops blinking before restarting the monitor.

4. Post-Update Inspection

5. Common Troubleshooting
